Wanderings & Witterings

Back

Saturday saw me back at the Falkirk Stadium for the first time this year.

In fact, it was the team's first match at home in 2022. Current restrictions meant that only 500 spectators were allowed into the ground to witness the event but I was fortunate to be one of the lucky season ticket holders.

And a remarkable game it was too! Falkirk are not having a good season, having won only six of their previous 18 league matches, but they put on an excellent performance to win this one 6-2 against (admittedly a not very good) Dumbarton. They also missed as many good chances, so the score could have been even higher. But I am not complaining.

The Bairns' next three matches are away from home and it's unlikely that Falkirk fans will be allowed to attend, unless the Scottish Government do a complete U-turn on the number of spectators allowed at outdoor events, so it will be clicking on social media for me for the next three Saturdays. Unless their performances slump to their previous levels, in which case I'll stick to watching the raindrops race down the windows.
