View from the bridge

At last, a dry day so we went for a local walk this morning to look at the latest work on our local river restoration project. Looks like they have finished the advanced work on the new road and it will now be left to settle as it has been built on the site of an old rubbish tip.
The water was quite high on the river looking down towards the estuary.
In the afternoon, I spent some time in the afternoon pruning my winter Heathers and removing the old leaves on my hellebores which have lots of emerging buds.
Our family in Canada have been experiencing temperatures of minus 35 degrees centigrade, but it has been sunny.
