Mono Monday fact or fiction

65 years ago, two engineers (Alfred Fielding and Marc Chavannes) were trying to create a textured wallpaper.
They put two pieces of plastic shower curtain through a heat sealing machine but just ended up with a sheet of film with trapped air bubbles.
A few years later and a few different failed attempts at finding a use for it, IBM found it to be perfect for shipping their delicate computers.
The rest - as they say - is history!
Who doesn’t love to pop the bubbles?
And yes, I will admit, several bubbles were harmed in the making of this blip!
