A Place of Pilgrimage

After a frosty start it's been a clear, sunny day. I took this shot this afternoon on the coast path between Looe and Polperro in south-east Cornwall. The jagged rocks on this headland look out towards Looe Island. There are many stories associated with the Island, which once had a small chapel and was a place of pilgrimage. According to legend, the child Jesus is said to have visited the island with his uncle Joseph of Arimathea, who was engaged in the trade for Cornish tin.
