Folding plugs

It is really good to have these folding plugs, but I am less enthusiastic about different USBs for charging. Time was when it was possible to have interchangeable ends. Now I have one for iPad, one for iPhone and a magnetic disc for the Apple Watch.
Will the day come when all the charging can be done by Wifi?
