We have a bird feeder on the wall and a handily situated forsythia shrub where the birds sit to assess any lurking dangers before they fly briefly to the feeder to grab a sunflower heart. The little bluetit was having a good look round when I got my shot. I'd had the brilliant idea  ( Sorry that sounds a bit Jeremy Clarkson) of sitting in Loosecanon's car to wait for the birds to appear. It makes a great bird hide with heated seats and a window sill to rest your camera on.
