Still There

The developers had another attempt at getting planning permission to knock down this building - the former cinema on Bath Street - this week. And once again it was thrown out by the council. The building continues to decay - compare with this blip from six years ago.  As I have discussed before, the architectural protectionism in the planning regime continues to prevent the developers from building the new flats they want to build but does nothing to force them to do something more positive with it other than holding onto the building in the hope that they will get the required permission, eventually. It has been like this for more than five years now.
