Wound up in Wexford

Another day, another walk in the woods

Except this was a little less restful - the photo has no sound attached, so you can't hear the clanks and bangs from the nearby industrial site.

Once again, our first task of the day was a house viewing.  This house was one for which my younger daughter had seen the online details, and was very taken by.  And we certainly felt it had some big positives.  But there was a rather busy and noisy road running past.  It was quite newly built, but the owners had based it on a much larger "big house" with turrets, grand steps, high ceilings, fancy light fittings and chandeliers.  It was all a bit overly decorative and "grand" for our taste - though I've always wanted a stair carpet with stair rods (see extra).

Afterwards, we drove towards New Ross, stopping en route at a garden centre with a nice little cafe where we had lunch.  I'd found a woodland walk on the outskirts of New Ross, which was a pleasant meander, but unfortunately not quite so pleasant on the ears.

So far, we've been really lucky with the weather - cold, but dry, and beautifully sunny much of the time, with once again some lovely light on the hills as we drove back to our cottage.
