Nature Diary... A Day of Sunshine and Fun

From dawn until dust the day was simply wonderful. The birds seemed happy and were active enough to make us wonder if they had already started producing some youngsters even though it’s still midwinter. The sky was blue and the sea was a beautiful blue too. A Gull came hopefully, to try to feed on some humble offerings of bird seed but there was nothing really satisfying enough for him there, so he had a bit of a ‘face-off’ with the Buddha who, as usual, just laughed. A tiny Blue Tit came backwards and forwards so many times that he it was who made me wonder if he and his partner were already feeding youngsters. Fishing boats were busy today, a calm day with no wind, and hungry Gulls followed in their wake hoping to feed on some of the fish. As the sun began to descend and as the birds began to make their way home the scene was transformed into the beautiful colours of a splendid sunset, hopefully promising another glorious and happy day tomorrow!.
