MrM set off on a cycle ride late morning, and I decided on a walk up to the Common. Followed the path by the smallholding on the way there, which was decidedly muddy in parts, and just before reaching the main track a short detour was necessary around a huge fallen tree.

Walked round the track three times - partly to increase my step number, and also in the hope of spotting a red squirrel. No luck on that score on the first two circuits, but on the third, this little guy was on one of the feeders. He was quite a poser, and I stood and watched him for a while. Bumped in to F, a friend, a couple of times - she's also trying to get a little bit fitter and goes up to the Common quite often.
