Peek-a-Boo

Several people have blipped snowdrops in their garden, but as you can see, mine are only just starting to poke their heads up. I walked into town for a few things this morning, then had a clear out of one of the units in my lounge whilst watching Andy’s tennis final - so nice to see him back in a tour final. More pc admin too - unsuccessful this time. Then I finished watching A Discovery of Witches.

Last night it was reported that Downing St. had ‘wine-time Fridays’ throughout the pandemic. More calls for Boris to resign today - I can’t understand why he has no shame and hasn’t already done so. Scientists are saying that modelling is predicting another wave of Omicron in the Summer - surely another wave is self evident, only the timing is in question. New cases fell today to 81,713 - but please remember this does not include (I think) asmptomatic people with a positive LFT who temporarily do not have to do a PCR test - still it is very good news, although levels are still very high. Deaths were up 45% in the last 7 days to 1,843 which is peaking towards levels of flu deaths seen in a bad winter - the NHS has to cope with both now though and this level is with restrictions in place and lots of testing. It looks like the no. of patients admitted to hospital has stabilised, hopefully to start falling soon.
