Fishing Expedition

Rainy, windy and cool today. A good chance to do some inside chores that are usually all too easily ignored when the weather is beautiful. This Red-shouldered hawk stopped by to gaze appreciatively at the Comet goldfish in our pond. She sat for a while on an overhanging limb probably reviewing her plan of attack in her mind. I couldn't spend all afternoon watching the ensuing drama so I can't say if she enjoyed one of the bright orange fish for lunch. Later, I'll count noses and hope that there are still nine Comets in the pond.
