Lichen

The vibrant yellow lichen against the stones and the sea is always so striking.

The coastal path out of North Berwick was busier than I’ve seen it before. The allure of a sunny and calm day during what’s been a pretty grey spell, I expect.

A bit of sunshine and fresh air were just what we needed.

I couldn’t help but think of the environmental situation back at home, further along the coast, in Musselburgh. The petrol pollution incident that has coated the river and spilled into the Firth of Forth has been incredibly shocking and upsetting to the community.
