Faded

Had a wonderful walk around Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Gardens. It’s always a treat. Most of the plants are still dormant and there’s an air of unending dampness in January, even on dry days. But we spotted our first snowdrops of the season, and one solitary rhododendron was already a blaze of colour. And we enjoyed another January al fresco lunch, this time at the Botanics cafe - with some of the loveliest cafe offerings I’ve come across. A fantastic way to spend the day.
