A reflective walk....

Not the happiest start to the week with a policeman on our doorstep first thing.   We'd been trying to get in touch with a distant relative over the past couple of weeks as we'd not heard from her in a while, and she hadn't sent a Christmas card our way.  We found out that the Met police had been looking for relatives to get in contact, so we rang them yesterday and today an Essex policeman came round to tell us that she'd passed away and did we know if she had any relatives that we knew of.  A very sad day as she was such a lovely woman and would have been 70 this year. She was one of those quiet souls that lived alone and had no close relatives so today we're remembering all the happy times we shared with her, knowing she's now reunited with her beloved parents.

So I took myself off for a walk in the winter sunshine for some nature healing and it came in the form of these 4 swans who flew into the creek - partly frozen! - to spend some time with me and it was lovely!
