I must go down to the sea again...

...to the lonely sea and the sky.
This was Smitingen beach at noon, which was certainly lonely (in the nicest possible way.)
Today's view of the winter beach.  No people, a very icy path from the car to the beach. Ankle deep snow all the way across the beach to here. A belt of ice at the previous high water level, from the gale of a couple of days ago, wet sand on top of frozen sand down to the sea.
The morning sun, which had lured us out to the sea's edge, was gone before we got there. However, we enjoyed the fresh air and the walk to Klubbsjön, even though that path was also very icy. Thank goodness for icebug shoes!
After our walk we popped in to Ruth's for a coffee, and ended up getting lunch and a delicious piece of orange cake. (Blend a whole organic orange, peel and all, and add to cake mix....)
We dropped into the shop for a bag of rice and some milk, and somehow spent around £50, emerging with two heavy bags of shopping.
Home as darkness fell...
