Plumbing assistant-on-call today as Ray started the task of replacing the cold water tank in the loft with one twice the size - one that shouldn't run out when everyone has a shower at the same time.

As usual, any investigation into past Dell House works raises more questions than ideal.  

Why is one WC on the low-pressure-cold supply? (Mental note to avoid flushing that one if anyone's showering!).   

Why are three sets of pipes neatly aligned and fixed to timbers, and one just... dangling... across the loft floor? (Not any more, it isn't).

E, meanwhile, is out for a sunrise-to-sunset walk of the length of the hills and back again.  Probably around 16 miles.  On the way back down she phoned to point out that the moon was bright and clear.
