Be gone, weed

Some things in life are more baffling than others.........like why weeds thrive where plants die?  This Scarlet Pimpernel's life was cut short once I'd found him though I'm pretty sure as soon as I turn my back that his cousins will continue to grow his legacy.

Nice day of pottering then M & J round for a BBQ tea in the evening.  I haven't done much entertaining at all over the last too many years and it felt good to take a step towards putting that right.  Lovely company, lovely food and lovely evening :D

In COVID news, there were 14 new community cases today; 30 people are in hospital and 2 in ICU.
