Dried Cardoon

A friendly game of bowls with M and then we wandered over to Saughton Park Bistro Cafe.  Hot chocolate was just the thing when sitting outdoors!

Saugton Gardens looked quite beautiful in the winter sunshine with the ornamental grasses and herbaceous plants that have gone to seed such these cardoons.  

We walked home with the glorious setting sun at our backs.
