Feather

This is my Golden Eagle feather. Up until around 2001, my dad volunteered with the RSPB monitoring Golden Eagles and their eyries on the Ross of Mull. He did it for about 40 years. Sometimes he would take us along. When I was about 8 years old, we walked up to an eyrie and there was a chick on it. My dad had a license to handle wild birds so he climbed down to the eyrie to check the chick. When he came back up he had this feather with him, which he gave to me. It's an adult primary feather. I've kept it ever since and treasure it.
