Nature Diary ... Acrobatic Magpie
A beautiful morning with blue sky and sunshine lasting most of the day.
Sparrows and Blue Tits fed rapidly at the feeders with Robins busily hopping about collecting the seeds which fell on the wall below. At one point a Jackdaw tried and failed to scoop food from the feeders, but the undoubted star of the show was the regular Magpie visitor who is the one and only member of his family who can hang on for more than a few seconds. Quite a fascinating performance!
