A House for Bells

Cotehele House in Cornwall stands close to the River Tamar and is regarded as one of the least-altered houses of the Tudor period. The 15th century chapel forms part of the main house and is topped by this lichen-encrusted bell tower. Inside the chapel is what is said to be the oldest working domestic clock in England. Today the house and chapel were closed but I was able to take this shot of the tower. The grey granite seemed to match the grey skies, with the yellow/green lichen adding a dull, Winter, splash of colour.
