Weather Watching

A short drive today for a walk at Wembury Point. After a frosty start, it was a day of sunshine and showers. Weather fronts that develop far out in the Atlantic Ocean often first encounter land in the south-west of England. As the relatively warm air rises over the moors it falls as rain, or occasionally in winter as sleet or snow. By the coast it is generally brighter, and a good place to watch the weather, and the changing light.
