Day Nine: on the Rocks…

A stroll around the Estuary Tracks and along the beachfront this evening was good for the soul. Here two lads are checking out the rocks at the mouth of the Estuary at low tide.
Covid-19, the Omicron Variant is with us in New Zealand. It is in the community in both North and South Islands. Alas it is very near with a family group of ten infected in Motueka, the nearest town to Kaiteriteri. At midnight tonight the whole country goes into the “Red Traffic Light” system with stricter rules to hopefully slow rates of infection. The camp here remains open with more mask wearing, social distancing and other action to keep us safe. Stay well and safe my friends. Kia Kaha.
