Day Eleven: Garden Art

A dull grey day, no blue sky to be seen. A few showers but still humid. Friend Tanya drove Margaret and me to Mapua. This is a very interesting village south of Motueka. It is beside and almost at the mouth of the Waimea Estuary. A former industrial area with the old buildings converted into interesting shops and eateries. As we left the area we visited a private garden full of the most amazing and beautiful garden art. We spent time talking with its creator, a most interesting man. It topped off a very good day out!
