Stuff and Nonsense

Meadow Pipit #17

Another dull and gloomy morning. It looked like it was brightening up a tad at lunchtime so we went for our "lockdown loop" walk to see what was around. I was hoping to see the yellowhammers and we were in luck as there were a few around, but they were very high in the trees or hiding in the scrub.
There was also a huge flock of winter thrushes, mainly redwings from what we could work out. Hoping that they would come close enough for a decent shot, we hung about for a while, but they just ended up flying away in the end.
The only birds that were in any sort of range were a small group of meadow pipits hanging about on top of a hedgerow, so that is my blip for today.
