Duck and swan

If you’re interested in making chilli jam the recipe is:

150g red chillies, deseeded, cut into chunk (more if you want)
300g red peppers, cut into chunks
1kg jam sugar
600ml cider vinegar

Slowly dissolve sugar in vinegar. Don’t stir too much
Sterilise 6 small jars
Blitz chillies, then add pepper chunks and blitz until fine specks
When sugar/vinegar is boiling add pepper mixture
Boil vigorously for 10 minutes
Take off heat and let cool and set for 40 minutes
Stir to distribute flecks, pour into jars.

As for today, dull and cold. This was the best opportunity. Didn’t do very much at all.

Attended the Parish Council meeting this evening. Project A drags on. Even missed Burn’s Night to go. We’ll do it tomorrow night.
