Closely guarded

It may have felt spring-like yesterday, but today it was back to winter, and it seemed a good idea to make a big pot of warming French lentil soup. Enough for today's lunch, and several portions in the freezer.

Walked down to the river this afternoon, intending to drop in to the shop to pay for our newly laid carpet. Got there a few minutes after 3.00pm, only to discover that they had already closed for the day! Tomorrow then...
The urn, closely guarded by two rather fine cats, was outside the auction rooms.

Arrived back at our gate at the same time as the delivery man bringing the storage units for my soon-to-be wardrobe. Didn't have time to assemble them this evening, but they're first on my 'To do' list for tomorrow.
