Great Herring War

A day of errands because they were needed but there was also a sense of urgency after reading the potential snowfall forecast for Saturday’s storm: 14-23”! It’s still early to know the exact track but as this storm gains traction over the next couple of days the hype will reach the level of Armageddon!! And you know what that will mean, a mad rush for those essential (and nonessential) supplies tomorrow and Friday. To avoid all of it, we chose to get everything done today. Birds, cats, deer, squirrels, MrsP and I have everything we will need, and want :) • Yes, peanut butter cups are well stocked • A quick stop at the river didn’t impress much. The area of open water is shrinking and the only ones enjoying it were these herring gulls and a couple of female mergansers. If you’re familiar with “The Golden Girls” TV Show you’ll recognize today’s title as a reference to one of Rose’s (Betty White) funnier stories :) • PS - no gulls will be shot out of a canon ;)
