Pollarding

It's been chilly and very grey, and P has been pollarding one of the large clumps of hazel in the garden and cutting lengths which, in due course, will be firewood for our wood burning stove. I spent a bit of time in the orchard trying various low angle wide shots of trees for Wide Wednesday, but none of them were very interesting, and I like the colours of the bark and lichens on the lengths of wood.
