Day 13: Serene Seas…

Before I started on an 8km walk early this morning I side tracked to the mouth of the Kaiteriteri Inlet. Sleep was disturbed overnight by very strong gusty southerly winds, shaking the caravan and flapping the awning walls. But the wind settled and the sea was smooth and serene. Son Duncan departed this morning via Marahau where he left our two camp beds with Hannah and Alex. He then headed to visit cousins in Nelson. I pottered around the caravan and camp all day, starting to pack up my camping gear, reading and generally chilling out.
