Red

Not much colour in the 'yard just now, apart from the winter jasmine, but this pelargonium on the downstairs window sill has been flowering since last June.

Enjoyed a coffee with Jacqui (and Fletch) this morning, after we'd been out to admire the newly installed permanent bed in her camper van. No wonder she can't wait for the warmer weather so she can try it out for real!

Jacqui wasn't happy about receiving a photocopied "Urgent Public Notice" by post from a Yorkshire postmark, making several spurious claims about vaccines, and informing her that "Covid-19 vaccines are now under criminal investigation" with the CID, and quoting a case number. No, they're not, the case number simply means that an allegation has been made. It seems that it's part of an anti-vaxers' campaign to try and stop jabs.

Coronavirus Plan B has ended, and people in England are no longer legally required to wear masks, even though the infection rate is still extremely high with over 100,000 new cases yesterday. Called in to the shop on the way home from Jacqui's and was dismayed to find that I was the only customer wearing a mask, as was one member of staff. Sigh! OK, rant over.

Far too long spent on Ancestry after lunch, and at last managed to trace one of my maternal great grandmothers, though it's beginning to seem unlikely that I'll be able to establish who's her father!

Better make a start on the bedroom curtains now...
