Snowdrops....

About this time of year I always photograph our local snowdrops - these are actually growing in the orchard area of our garden. There's a fair amount of variation in the dates of my photographs - the earliest being on New Year's Day in 2016, and the latest towards the end of February. But this year they're pretty much slap bang in the middle of their normal range.

Most of the day was spent report writing, though I also fitted in a late afternoon haircut, followed by a brisk early evening walk at Ferry Meadows. I visited the Otter family again, and was able to watch the kits busily feeding until it became too dark to see. You can see a rather grainy video of one of the young eating a fish here.
