Snowy Symbiosis

A dogwood growing on a fallen willow tree provided my subject for today. I'm not exactly sure of their relationship, although I do know both are still alive, so something positive is happening.

Unfortunately the red stems of the dogwood are not particularly vibrant and there's hardly any texture in the snow under flat lighting. I used the mass of the trunk to give the image some form in contrast to the fine lines of the shrub.
