Dukes Road

It was a beautiful sunny morning without too much wind and pleasantly cool for walking, so we decided to walk along Dukes Road. Dukes Road is a bridleway across the moorland between Bradfield and the Derwent Valley in Derbyshire. It is an ancient route across the Pennines from Derbyshire to South Yorkshire and beyond. The views were spectacular (see extras) and we enjoyed finding old boundary stones and other markers of interest.
This morning was the best of the day, with storms forecast for later.
