Wide-eyed and legless, these tiny orange discs can easily be missed  if you're not in the habit of inspecting poo. They are eyelash fungi growing here on a lump of old cow dung. You might see them on any organic material, such as damp and rotten wood, taking advantage of the nutrition that remains. They're very common but, because they look like tiny orange dots, easily overlooked. 
No one seems to know the function of the hairs around the discs
(It would be fun to use a tiny mascara brush to accentuate them.)
