Grateful for calm, quiet mornings when everyone is still asleep. Grateful for making it to lunch time and for finding fresh fern (Pako) from the market. One bundle costs only 15 pesos (about 1/3 of a US dollar).  Was able to find pineapples and clementines as well.

Stumbled upon an old journal this morning. Some of the entries made me laugh while some made me pause.

Here's what I wrote on June 24, 2010:

"The time for action is now." I need to find inspiration asap. I need to inspire myself into doing something of purpose, else I will stagnate and perish.

Starting #today, my daily assignment would be to (1) Do something productive, (2) Read something worthwhile (3) Do something healthy and (4) Share something bright with the world.

Berso sa Metro ni Ernesto Cardenal (Filipino translation of a verse by Ernesto Cardenal seen while riding the Metro Railway Train):

Nang mawala ka sa akin, ikaw at ako'y nawalan
Ako dahil ikaw ang minahal ko ng lubusan
At ikaw dahil ako ang sa iyo'y lubusang nagmahal
Ngunit sa dalawa ay ikaw ang higit na nawalan
Dahil pwede kong mahalin ang iba
tulad ng pagmamahal ko sa iyo
Ngunit ika'y di mamahalin tulad ng kung paano Kita minahal

-Ernesto Cardenal (Granada, Nicaragua 1925)

Featured photo is T's mealworms. He talked about it during lunchtime and was eager to show it after he washed his own dish. He said mealworms have an exoskeleton and that they are professionally bred by some ant keepers and other types of weird pet owners/farmers.

Gratitude and light.
