Wet Wednesday

It's Not Easy Being Green.      By The Muppets.

. . . But greens the colour of spring  summer
And green can be cool and friendly-like
And green can be big like an ocean
Or important like a river
Or tall like a tree . . .

Today is the first day of what is predicted to be three very wet days.  The estuary looked grey with the tide out so I walked to end of the accessway and looked at the hill.  One of the gums has died.  Debbie is going to ring the council as she doesn't want it to come down in a big wind and perhaps damage her shed.  We will  miss the rain because we are flying north to Auckland to attend a family memorial for the forester's last uncle who died on Christmas Eve.  I am thoughtful about flying with Omicron in the community but I have had my three vaccines and will wear a mask and I can't do more than that.
This morning at fitness class Byron had a meeting before he came pool side so long trousers and a shirt rather spoiled the view.  There were less ladies in the class today so we felt we got extra attention from him :-)
I'll report in from sunny Auckland tomorrow.  We are staying within walking distance of a beach.
