A Touch of Pink…..

The dawn sky this morning. There is circular ripple widening near the far bank of this ponded area of the river. I suspect the ripple was caused by an eel or even a trout. It has been cloudy and muggy and hot all day here. A contrast with communities in our West Coast district. They are experiencing torrential rains, with road closures, slips and flooding. Westport is being badly affected with some areas of the town being evacuated this afternoon. It must be dreadful for the folk in those areas.
