Look sharp

When I saw Jeanneb’s blip of her knives, it made me wonder just how many old steel knives I have, so I rummaged in the kitchen drawer and came up with this collection. The carving knife I inherited from my stepfather, and judging by its shape it must be a great age. N sharpens it with a steel every Sunday lunch time, adding to the wear and it is very sharp. The smaller knives have come down through both our families, and N will always use one of those rather than a stainless steel modern one for his meal. He swears you can’t get the edge on stainless steel.
