Snowdrops

One of my favourite places for blip photos is West Horsley churchyard. It is a quiet place, I have never seen anyone else there. Today it looked beautiful with a sea of snowdrops, from a distance that looked like drifts of snow.
It is said that Sir Walter Raleigh’s head is buried in this church. After he was beheaded, his wife kept the severed head in a red velvet bag. She lived in the nearby West Horsley Place, and after her death the head was interred in the church. Only in England!
