Screen but not herd

It has been an exhausting first day of 'painterly screenprinting' at West Dean. We have been laying down the first layers of colour using a variety of techniques to create interesting marks. It's fun but tiring both mentally and physically.  It poured with rain all the way there and there was something I hadn't seen for a long time - rush-hour traffic. But this evening I stepped out into a beautiful moonlit sky and quiet run home.
