Subdued Sunshine

Not the sunniest of days (which I don't mind at all, though it does make scruffy buildings look even scruffier). Here, one of the lookout towers on the walls of Évora.

Where we went to get the broken car window replaced. Walked into the old part while we waited, and had lunch at our usual place (not that it's very usual these days). Struck up a conversation with a Canadian guy called Ben, and ended up drawing a tour of the Alentejo on part of the (disposable) table mat for him, complete with recommendations for beds and meals.

Gratefuls:
- all Mike's driving today, about five hours of it; we did a round trip to Mora to collect my old laptop, which will now be Mike's
- Vítor and his colleague's ability to resurrect the laptop, and their belief that it's worth it
- an (unexpected) relaxed walk and lunch with Mike in the middle of the day
