Oyster shells

These are some of the shells I picked up at Minnis Bay yesterday. One stretch of the promenade was piled with shells washed up from the beach; there was a bit of shingle, but mostly shells of many types. I hoped the oyster shells would be a bit more translucent on the light box, but little light shines through them; I still like their textures and subtle colour variations.

It has been cold and windy again and I haven't been outside at all. Instead, I've made the last batch of marmalade for this year, helped J sort out and send all the materials needed for a forthcoming animation festival, and caught up with some emails, so it's been a quietly useful day.
