Approved by the Postmaster General. But which one?

We spent a lot of time looking at letterboxes for Mono Monday on our way to and from the post office this afternoon. I have to say that most of them were fairly ordinary (we decided that people express themselves with door knockers, not letterboxes) or just a bit interesting but quite grubby too.

I like this one though. We spotted it on one of our lockdown walks around Northleach and I grabbed a quick shot as we passed today.

In the extra - our favourite letterbox, ours! I don't think the postmen like it much though. With the old one they could hurl the post through so hard it often ended up on the dining room floor across the hall. This one has a tight fitting brush inside so they have great difficulty getting the letters though. Often they just leave them stuck halfway. Like everyone else, we didn't pay much attention to the letterbox design when we ordered the door. We expressed our individuality via the knocker and the window :-)
