Soccer Deja Vu, All Over Again

Today we had another soccer match. The second last of the spring season. Our girls are a pretty good team but they got beat today. The other team had a fire in their bellies and are talented too.

Just like yesterday we had inclement weather near the end of the game. This time it poured down hail stones and rain! It was quite a sight. Some of the girls got pretty frightened. It hurt too. I managed t o get some video on my point-and-shoot, but it was hard to film and keep the camera reasonable dry. At the end of it we all got thoroughly soaked. Luckily Kim and Emma went home early so it was only myself and Holly who got drowned. It was quite a time. I don't think we'll forget it.

Earlier in the day we went to a birthday party of one of Holly's class mates. The party was held at a local indoor swimming pool that has a great water slide. Emma nearly lost her mind (thankfully she was able to go as well). Emma loves the water. When we lived at our previous house we used to go to this pool quite a bit. She let us know that she is having her birthday there too next year. Kim had a hard time getting Emma out of the pool when it was time to leave.

With the birthday party and the soccer I have a ton of pictures to go through.

I've also started playing Fallout 3. Great game. Taken me some time to get into it. I'm not a big fan of RPG type video games but this is one well made title.

BTW, that crazy 10 minute (as it turns out) storm yesterday claimed one life. The gales winds (which I think only lasted 1 or 2 minutes) knocked down quite a few trees and limbs. A fifty something year old man crashed in to one of those downed trees. How tragic!

[Okay. For all you complainers yesterday who wanted to see images of the storm - you know who you are - here is some very bad video of the hail today. Are you happy now? :) ]
