Miaow

Spotted at the Southbank Marina today.

A different Wednesday. It's half term so we had been expecting both girls here today. However, their mum took a bit of annual leave this week so, rather than them coming here, we went to them. Instead of a 07:00 start we arrived at their house at 10:00. We went for a walk round their local nature reserve, the six year old chatting about her activities and school all the way. The two year old was on her bike and determined to stay in the lead.

We then took the girls into Kirkintilloch for lunch. It was a success though we had a long wait for our apple crumbles. The six year old and I walked back to give Flora a bit more exercise. It wasn't the most pleasant of walks as there were sleety showers and a brisk wind. It doesn't take too long but we were damp when we got back to the house.

On the way we passed the canal marina where one of the houseboats is decorated with a feline face.

Now home and I'm having a rest before yoga class #2.

I'd taken Flora out first thing so I'm adding two bird extras spotted on our walk. Neither is a great photo - too much out of focus twiggery - but for my own records. Particularly delighted to see the LTT.
