This was shortly before the sun set after a day that started with gales, snow and ice which made walking treacherous but it had melted by mid morning giving way to mostly blue sky  The winds continue to blow the Heras fencing down each time it is put up and the tree branches are still blocking the lane meaning that the post van has to divert after delivering our mail while the bin lorries have still not managed to collect from the old farmhouse and two cottages.  It is possible to walk below the large trunk and climb round and over the rest so has not inconvenienced most agile walkers and their dogs.  The trunk used to be the main part of the tree in the middle of the photo.
