If you can't beat them...

Galanthus elwesii "Snow Fox"

On our last visit to a garden centre Clickychick chose these Snowdrops, not because of the variety but she liked the flowers.  Which is fortunate as I am starting to suspect they aren't actually Snow Fox.   Most of the photos of Snow Fox I have seen have green on the outer petals.  Varying from a blob to a upside down chevron.  As you can see there is not a sign of green on these flowers.

Digging deeper into things it seems Snow Fox is variable and sometimes doesn't show green and then the next year it does.  It is an early flowering variety so perhaps next year I won't be weeks behind in blipping Snowdrops.  Some reports suggest it can flower around Christmas in parts of the UK.
