Catnapped

Every time Mrs. Ottawacker sits down, there is a corresponding thud from another part of the house that indicates Tui has recognized the sound and is on her way to claim her rightful place on the lap. Sometimes, there are two corresponding thuds, followed by a race, a hiss and a miaow, as two cats simultaneously try to claim their rightful places. Other times, I beat them to it and sit there grinning at their doleful feline faces. But Mrs. Ottawacker usually pushes me off, claiming I am too heavy.
